This was a heavy painting for me, as I dove in without any sketches or ideas and just tried to paint my fondest memories from childhood. A dreamy, isolated depiction of mis abuelos backyard in Miami, where I spent most of my childhood in a hammock in their mango tree, is what came about, after 3 years of working on this piece.
